Job Title: Retail Accountant (Supermart)
Location: Lekki, Lagos
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: ₦300,000 Gross Monthly
Reports To: Head of Finance

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our retail operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the smooth financial running of the supermart.

Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate financial records and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
* Oversee accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and cash flow management.
* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax filings, and regulatory standards.
* Monitor inventory accounting and support retail operations with financial insights.
* Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to guide management decisions.
* Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and controls.

Requirements
* ACA or ICAN certification (mandatory).
* 3–5 years of proven accounting experience, preferably in retail or FMCG.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
