Job Title: Group Security Manager
Reports To: Group Head, Administration
Direct Reports: All Site Chief Security Officers (CSOs)
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Purpose
The Group Security Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership for security, asset protection, investigations, recovery, and crisis management across all business operations in Nigeria.

The role ensures the protection of the Group’s people, products, facilities, fleet, assets, and reputation by establishing a robust security framework, driving operational excellence, and strengthening risk management capabilities across all manufacturing plants, warehouses, depots, offices, and distribution networks. The incumbent will provide direct oversight to all site Chief Security Officers (CSOs) and serve as the organisation’s principal advisor on security-related matters.

Key Responsibilities
1. Security Strategy, Governance & Leadership
Develop and drive the Group’s security and recovery strategy, ensuring consistent security standards, policies, and operating procedures are implemented across all locations. Provide leadership and direction to all site Chief Security Officers while promoting a proactive security culture that supports business objectives, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

2. Asset Protection, Recovery & Loss Prevention
Lead initiatives aimed at protecting company assets, inventory, fleet, infrastructure, and personnel, while driving the prevention, investigation, and recovery of losses resulting from theft, product diversion, fraud, vandalism, or other security breaches. Establish effective controls that reduce security-related losses and improve recovery outcomes across the business.

3. Distribution, Manufacturing & Operational Security
Oversee security operations across manufacturing facilities, warehouses, depots, and distribution channels to ensure business continuity and operational integrity. Partner closely with Supply Chain, Logistics, and Commercial teams to mitigate risks associated with product movement, fleet operations, route security, and third-party logistics activities.

4. Investigations, Intelligence & Crisis Management
Direct all security investigations and intelligence-gathering activities while maintaining strong relationships with relevant security agencies and law enforcement authorities. Lead the organisation’s response to critical incidents, emergencies, and crises, ensuring timely resolution, minimal business disruption, and the protection of employees and corporate assets.

5. Security Performance, Technology & Continuous Improvement
Drive the adoption of appropriate security technologies, monitoring systems, and reporting mechanisms to enhance risk visibility and operational effectiveness. Monitor security performance across all sites through defined KPIs, conduct periodic security assessments, and implement continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen the Group’s overall security posture.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management, Criminology, Law, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
Relevant professional security certifications will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience in corporate security, investigations, asset protection, or risk management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Strong experience within FMCG, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, or multi-site operations.
Demonstrated success in managing security operations, investigations, loss prevention, crisis response, and stakeholder engagement across multiple locations.
