Job Title: Head of Human Resources (Energy Sector)

Net Salary: 2M – 2.5M NGN (Negotiable based on experience)
Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned, strategic, and resilient Head of Human Resources to provide executive-level leadership for our manufacturing enterprise. Based in our Ikeja corporate office, this role is responsible for driving human capital strategies, ensuring absolute regulatory compliance, navigating complex industrial relations, and fostering a high-performance culture. The ideal candidate brings exceptional career stability, authoritative expertise in Nigerian labor laws within the manufacturing sector, and a proven track record of aligning workforce capability with long-term business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive HR strategies that drive operational efficiency, talent optimization, and workforce retention across corporate and manufacturing facilities.
Serve as the lead expert on labor relations, collective bargaining, grievance handling, and dispute resolution within a heavy industrial environment.
Ensure all HR practices, workplace policies, and facility operations strictly adhere to the Nigerian Labour Act, Trade Unions Act, Factories Act, and relevant statutory frameworks.
Lead large-scale change management initiatives, workforce planning, and robust succession management programs.
Develop, implement, and audit comprehensive HR policies, employee handbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Oversee modernized performance management systems tailored for continuous operational environments.
Mentor and supervise the HR and Administrative teams from the Ikeja office, fostering a culture of excellence and high professional standards.
Manage the HR departmental budget, headcount planning, and competitive compensation and benefits structures aligned with the designated net salary framework.
Act as the primary liaison between executive management, labor unions, and external regulatory bodies.
Provide data-driven human capital metrics, attrition insights, and performance dashboards to top management.
Key Requirements & Competencies
B.Sc. or HND in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field. An MBA or a Master’s degree is an added advantage.
Active professional membership in the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) or equivalent globally recognized bodies (e.g., SHRM).
Minimum of 25 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 10–15 years in a senior leadership capacity specifically within a manufacturing or industrial plant environment.
Demonstrated career stability with a consistent employment history showing more than 2 years of tenure in previous roles.
Candidates must be comfortable operating primarily out of the Ikeja office.
Authoritative, up-to-date knowledge of Nigerian labor laws, industrial safety regulations, and manufacturing-led HR practices.
Proven capability in strategic planning, multi-million-naira budgeting, risk management, crisis management, and large-scale organizational transformation.
Impeccable moral character, unyielding integrity, and high emotional intelligence is non-negotiable
