Job Summary
The Relationship Manager will be responsible for driving Assets Under Management (AUM) growth through the acquisition and retention of high-value clients. The successful candidate will leverage an existing network of High-Net Worth Individuals (HNIs), institutional clients, and other strategic relationships to mobilize deposits, deepen client relationships, and promote the Company’s investment products and services.
Key Responsibilities
• Grow the Company’s Assets Under Management (AUM) through the acquisition of new clients and expansion of existing client relationships.
• Identify, prospect, and onboard High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs), corporate organizations, and institutional investors.
• Promote and sell the Company’s investment and wealth management products and services.
• Manage client portfolios in line with their investment objectives, risk appetite, and financial goals.
• Conduct periodic portfolio reviews and provide clients with appropriate investment recommendations.
• Develop, maintain, and strengthen long-term client relationships through exceptional service delivery.
• Monitor market trends and identify opportunities to increase portfolio value and client acquisition.
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly business performance reports.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of client transactions and service requests.
• Contribute to the achievement of the Company’s short-, medium-, and long-term strategic objectives.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution.
• Minimum of 5–7 years’ relevant experience in Asset Management, Wealth Management, Private Banking, Investment Banking, or Financial Services.
• Proven experience in deposit mobilisation, wealth management, investment advisory, and client relationship management.
• An established network of High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs), corporate clients, and other investible relationships.
• Sound understanding of investment products, financial markets, and portfolio management.
• For the Abuja role, proficiency in both Hausa and English will be an added advantage.
Key Competencies
• Proven ability to manage and grow a large portfolio of High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs) and institutional clients.
• Strong track record within a reputable financial institution or asset management firm.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Demonstrated history of consistently meeting and exceeding business development and revenue targets.
• Strong commercial acumen with excellent networking and client acquisition capabilities.
Performance Expectations (AUM Targets)
• ₦3–₦4 billion in Assets Under Management within the first six (6) months.
• ₦6–₦8 billion in Assets Under Management within the first twelve (12) months.
