HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
Function: Human Resources
Salary: N400,000 per month (gross)
Location: Chevron, Lagos (Laundry/Mart)
Employment Type: Full-Time

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Human Resources Officer will provide comprehensive HR support across multiple business units, serving as the primary point of contact for all people-related matters. This role requires an individual who is both strategic and hands-on, with the ability to manage the full HR cycle while contributing to a productive, compliant, and engaged workforce.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including job advertisement, candidate screening, interview coordination, offer letters, and onboarding
•Maintain and update employee records, HR databases, and documentation in compliance with data management standards
•Administer attendance, leave management, and payroll inputs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
•Support line managers in performance management processes, including appraisal coordination, goal-setting, and performance improvement plans
•Handle employee relations matters including grievances, disciplinary procedures, and conflict resolution in line with company policy and labour law
•Coordinate and support learning and development initiatives, including identifying training needs and organizing relevant programmes
•Ensure organisational compliance with applicable labour laws and internal HR policies
•Support the development and review of HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook updates
•Drive employee engagement initiatives and contribute to building a positive workplace culture
•Prepare HR reports and analytics for management review as required

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field
•Minimum of 3 to 5 years of generalist HR experience, preferably in a multi-site or retail environment
•Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour law and HR best practices
•Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office tools
•Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
•Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with utmost discretion
•Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) is an advantage
