Job Description

Job Title: Senior Electrical Sales Engineer / BDM
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Seniority: Senior, industry-experienced
Employment Type: Full-time, permanent
Base Salary: 1.2M – 1.5M Monthly based on experience
Annual Sales Target: ₦1.25bn

Job Summary
If you have spent years winning bids, specifying power distribution on real projects and closing seven- and eight-figure naira deals against a hard target, this role was written for you. We are hiring a Senior Electrical Sales Engineer to own and grow our electrical power business across Nigeria, selling low-voltage power distribution products and solutions to factories, contractors, consultants, panel builders, developers and commercial clients.

This is not an entry or mid-level seat. It carries a ₦1.25bn annual sales target, real commercial autonomy and a commission scheme that rewards those who outperform.

Key Responsibilities

Build and run a high-value pipeline across industrial, commercial, construction and infrastructure sectors through regular field visits, project tracking and consultant engagement.
Win corporate bids, tenders and projects end to end: from early specification and technical recommendation, through competitive quotation and negotiation, to order confirmation, delivery and payment.
Sell low-voltage power distribution solutions: wiring devices, switchgear, panels, breakers, protection devices, enclosures and related products, with automation and control solutions where relevant.
Manage key accounts at senior level, including factories, EPC and MEP contractors, consultants, panel builders, developers and trading companies.
Prepare accurate technical and commercial offers, negotiate terms and protect margin while closing.
Follow every deal through to collection, working closely with technical, tendering, procurement, logistics and finance teams.
Track competitor activity, pricing and market trends, and feed that intelligence back to management.
Deliver the assigned annual target of ₦1.25bn, with accurate forecasts, pipeline updates and CRM records.

Key Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or HND in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
A senior profile with several years of hands-on experience in the MEP industry, ideally across electrical, mechanical, pumps, HVAC, solar/energy or industrial engineering solutions, with deep specialism in electrical power products in Nigeria.
A proven, trackable record of winning corporate bids, tenders and projects, with clear evidence of deals closed, project values and revenue delivered against target.
Strong technical knowledge of low-voltage distribution products and systems, and the ability to demonstrate it in a conversation with a consultant or client engineer, not just list it on a CV.
Strong command of the Nigerian industrial, commercial and construction markets and the people who drive them.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, reporting and relationship-management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Ability to work independently and travel regularly for customer and project visits.

Strongly preferred

ABB product knowledge or experience. This will set you apart.
Experience with a reputable electrical, power or engineering company, and familiarity with brands such as ABB, Schneider Electric, Siemens, CHINT or Legrand.
Working knowledge of automation and control solutions.
A valid driver’s licence.

Benefits: Merit-based progression, continuous technical and commercial training, and a collaborative, supportive team.
