Job Summary
The Branch Accountant will own full accounting operations for the PH branch of a global FMCG/logistics business, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong cost control, and compliance across a fast-moving, high-volume trade environment. The role supports operational excellence by keeping financial data reliable and processes efficient across warehousing, distribution, and inventory-heavy operations.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage full branch accounting: general ledger, AP/AR, inventory/cost accounting, and fixed assets.
* Handle month-end/year-end close and prepare financial statements and management reports.
* Monitor cost of goods, freight/logistics costs, and inventory valuation for accuracy.
* Ensure compliance with BIR, SEC, and PFRS requirements; support external audits.
* Strengthen internal controls around stock, cash, and expense management.
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis at branch level.
* Partner with operations/warehouse teams to ensure accurate cost and inventory reporting.
* Act as main finance contact for the branch, liaising with regional/HQ finance.

Qualifications
* Bachelor’s in Accountancy/Finance; CPA preferred but not mandatory
* 5–10 years’ accounting experience, ideally in FMCG, logistics, or distribution.
* Strong grasp of inventory/cost accounting, BIR, and PFRS.
* ERP experience (SAP/Oracle or similar); advanced Excel.
* Comfortable working independently across a full branch’s finance function.

* Cost of goods/freight cost variance vs. budget
* Audit findings & resolution time
* Budget vs. actual variance
* Compliance rate (BIR/SEC/PFRS)
* Cash flow accuracy & reconciliation turnaround
