Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Finance Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations and drive long-term value creation. The CFO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, providing expert financial guidance and overseeing all aspects of financial management, including corporate finance, budgeting, forecasting, audit, and compliance. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a proven track record in financial transformation and a deep understanding of the Nigerian business landscape.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute a robust financial strategy that aligns with the organization’s long-term growth objectives.
• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, treasury, tax, and insurance, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and international standards.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and provide monthly/quarterly financial analysis and forecasting to the Board of Directors.
• Manage capital structure and fundraising activities, including debt financing and investor relations.
• Implement advanced financial controls and risk management frameworks to safeguard corporate assets.
• Provide strategic advice on mergers, acquisitions, and new business ventures through rigorous financial modeling.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions.
• Mentor and lead the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Key Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree in Finance is highly preferred.
• Must be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent).
• 8–15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior executive role (CFO or Finance Director).
• Deep knowledge of IFRS, Nigerian tax laws, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Strong track record of mentoring teams and fostering a high-performance culture.
• Expert-level financial modeling, forecasting, and risk management capabilities.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to manage relationships with investors, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
