Job Title: Commissioning Lead

Job Summary
The Commissioning Lead is responsible for the planning and safe execution of commissioning and start-up activities. You will ensure facilities are commissioned on time, meet all project integrity requirements, and achieve operational targets while facilitating a smooth handover from the project phase to operations.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop commissioning and start-up (CSU) philosophies, strategies, and plans.
• Build and manage the CSU team and define staffing requirements.
• Implement and maintain a Commissioning & Completions Management System, including punch list management.
• Define inspection, testing, and vendor representative support requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction groups to align on priorities and site queries.
• Manage health, safety, and environmental (HSE) aspects of commissioning in partnership with site leadership.
• Lead periodic commissioning meetings and manage internal/external reporting on status and forecasts.
• Prepare commissioning procedures and “as-commissioned” documentation for final handover.

Key Qualifications and Skills
• Engineering degree in a relevant field.
• 10–15 years of experience in the commissioning of oil and gas projects.
• Proficiency in relevant industry software and awareness of engineering documentation.
• Excellent communication skills with high proficiency in English and the ability to interact effectively with clients.
• Prior work experience in Nigeria.
