Job Title: Senior Procurement Officer
Salary: N350K Monthly

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Senior Procurement Officer will oversee and manage the company’s procurement operations to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality acquisition of goods and services. This role requires strong negotiation skills, supplier relationship management, and strict adherence to company policies and compliance standards. The officer will play a key role in optimizing procurement strategies, preventing fraud, and supporting operational efficiency across all business units.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Source, evaluate, negotiate, and manage suppliers to secure quality products at competitive prices.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
• Prepare purchase requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and recommend approved vendors based on quality, pricing, and reliability.
• Negotiate favorable pricing, payment terms, discounts, and service agreements.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with Inventory Officers for timely replenishment.
• Coordinate procurement activities across all branches and business units.
• Ensure purchased items meet company specifications and quality standards.
• Track supplier deliveries and resolve procurement-related issues such as disputes, shortages, or delays.
• Monitor procurement budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, quotations, contracts, and invoices.
• Prepare weekly and monthly procurement reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, financial controls, and approval processes.
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and pricing trends.
• Collaborate with Finance to reconcile supplier invoices and payment schedules.
• Work with Internal Control to ensure transparency and accountability in procurement.
• Prevent procurement fraud, conflicts of interest, and unethical practices.
• Supervise procurement staff, providing coaching and performance support.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding supplier pricing, contracts, and company information.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 4–6 years of proven experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of procurement policies, compliance standards, and financial controls.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
