Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Area Sales Manager (ASM) with a strong background in the beverages industry to drive sales growth, expand market share, and manage distributor operations within an assigned territory. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of delivering sales targets, leading high-performing field sales teams, developing strong trade relationships, and executing effective route-to-market strategies in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Achieve sales volume, revenue, and distribution targets within the assigned territory.
• Manage and develop distributor and key customer relationships to drive business growth.
• Lead, coach, and supervise Sales Representatives and other field sales personnel.
• Expand market coverage, product availability, and in-store visibility across channels.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and business opportunities.
• Execute sales and trade marketing initiatives to enhance brand presence and performance.
• Prepare sales reports, analyze performance data, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Ensure effective receivables management and adherence to company policies.

Requirements & Competencies
• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in FMCG sales, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the beverages industry.
• Proven experience in distributor management, route-to-market execution, and territory management.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets in competitive markets.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Good analytical, reporting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other sales reporting tools.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
