Job Summary
The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of gas and power facilities, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable production, distribution, and maintenance activities. The role requires strong leadership, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage and coordinate gas and power plant operations to achieve production and performance targets.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, industry regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and plant availability.
• Monitor operational performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and manage operational budgets, cost control measures, and resource allocation plans.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise multidisciplinary operations and maintenance teams.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare operational reports, performance analyses, and management presentations.
• Ensure effective risk management and emergency response preparedness.
• Drive operational efficiency, productivity, and business sustainability initiatives.

Key Requirements & Competencies
• B.Sc. or HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering; an MBA or Master’s degree in a related field is an added advantage.
• Must be a registered member of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
• 10–12+ years of progressive experience in gas processing, power generation, or energy operations, with a proven track record of leadership and team management. Managing large-scale projects in West Africa is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of plant operations, maintenance management, operational planning, performance monitoring, and asset management.
• Professional certifications in Project Management, HSE, Asset, Operations, or Energy Management are highly desirable.
• Proficient in strategic planning, budgeting, cost control, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
