Job Summary
We are seeking a high-performing Zonal Sales Manager to lead sales operations across the Northern region. The role is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market coverage, strengthening distributor partnerships, and leading a team of Area Sales Managers to deliver outstanding commercial results.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver sales, volume, revenue, and market share targets across the zone
• Lead, coach, and develop Area Sales Managers and field sales teams
• Drive distributor performance, market penetration, and route-to-market execution
• Expand distribution reach and ensure product availability across channels
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors and trade partners
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and identify growth opportunities
• Ensure effective execution of trade promotions and visibility initiatives
• Provide accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, and business insights
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field
• Minimum of 7 years FMCG sales experience, including leadership of regional/zonal sales operations
• Proven success in distributor management, sales team leadership, and channel development
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of exceeding sales targets
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong knowledge of the Northern Nigerian market is an advantage
