Job Title: Junior Accountant (Supermart)

Reports To: Finance Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage financial records and oversee accounting operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring transaction accuracy, managing tax components, and supporting the financial integrity of our supermarket operations.

Key Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate financial records and meticulously process day-to-day accounting transaction details, including receivables and payables.
• Monitor cashier operations to ensure strict compliance with financial policies and operational standards.
• Manage and ensure full compliance with tax components and statutory regulations.
• Reconcile daily sales transactions and bank deposits; prepare precise monthly financial reports.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to improve overall financial efficiency.
• Monitor inventory records, support stock audits, and provide full support during internal and external audits.

Requirements
• 2 – 4 years of professional accounting experience.
• Minimum of OND/HND/B.Sc. in Accounting or a related field.
• Possession of professional accounting certificates (such as ACA or ACCA) will be considered an added advantage.
• Demonstrated familiarity with tax component systems and proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities with a smart, decent, and professional demeanor.
