Zonal Sales Manager – Tomato, Spread & Paste Categories

Role Overview
We are looking for a commercially astute and hands-on Zonal Sales Manager to drive the performance of our Tomato, Spread, and Paste categories within the Lagos zone. The role holder will manage distributor networks, lead a field sales team, and ensure full execution of the company’s sales and trade marketing strategies across the zone.
Key Responsibilities
• Achieve zonal sales volume, revenue, and distribution targets across Tomato, Spread, and Paste categories.
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of Area Sales Representatives operating within the Lagos zone.
• Oversee all distributor and key account activities within the zone, ensuring compliance with trade terms, pricing, and stock holding requirements.
• Execute trade activations, point-of-sale placements, and promotional programmes across channels.
• Track competitor activity, pricing trends, and market dynamics; escalate insights to the NSM.
• Ensure optimal product visibility, availability, and freshness across all outlets within the zone.
• Submit regular performance reports, sales forecasts, and market updates to the NSM.
• Manage zonal trade spend and expenses within approved budget.
• Develop and expand the distributor and retail customer base within Lagos.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years’ FMCG sales experience, with at least 3 years in a zonal/regional management role.
• Solid understanding of the Lagos FMCG market, trade channels, and distributor landscape.
• Experience managing food, condiment, or paste categories is a strong advantage.
