Job Title: Managing Director (Telematics)
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Reports to: Group Managing Director

Salary Band: ₦4M to ₦6M Monthly

Job Summary
The Managing Director shall provide strategic and operational leadership to achieve sustainable profitability, business growth, technological innovation, operational excellence, and long-term shareholder value while fostering a high-performance culture built on integrity, accountability, customer-centricity, and continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities
· Develop and execute the company’s strategic plan in collaboration with the Director of Strategy, GMD, and other stakeholders.
· Translate approved strategies into measurable business outcomes.
· Drive innovation and digital transformation across all business functions.
· Identify new markets, products, and strategic partnerships.
· Position the company as a market leader in Africa.
· Provide executive oversight for business operations, project delivery, product development, customer service, technical support, supply chain, quality management, continuous improvement, and service delivery excellence.
· Promote the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and internal controls.
· Maintain effective governance structures, reporting mechanisms, and foster an ethical, transparent, and accountable organizational culture.
· Provide overall accountability for revenue growth, profitability, EBITDA, cash flow, budget performance, cost optimization, and financial sustainability.
· Lead initiatives to increase market share, support the GMD in expanding into new geographic markets, develop strategic partnerships, increase recurring revenue streams, strengthen customer relationships, enhance brand positioning, and drive sales growth and business development.
· Champion the development and commercialization of innovative solutions in Fuel Management Technologies, Fleet Management Systems, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Cloud Platforms, Enterprise Software, Digital Products, and Smart Asset Monitoring.
· Ensure an effective enterprise-wide risk management framework covering strategic risk, operational risk, financial risk, information security, regulatory compliance, and business continuity.
· Maintain productive relationships with the GMD & BOD, customers, employees, regulators, strategic partners, and general stakeholders.

Required Experience & Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or any related discipline.
· Relevant professional certificates will be advantageous.
· Minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in telecommunications, enterprise technology, or oil & gas.
· At least 12 years in senior executive leadership.
· Demonstrated responsibility for profit and loss (P&L).
· Proven success in leading business transformation and scaling technology-driven businesses.
· Strong understanding of corporate governance, stakeholder engagement, and strategic partnerships.
· Exposure to African or international markets is an added advantage.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
· Achieve implementation of all approved strategic initiatives and annual business plan by 31 December (15%).
· Deliver the approved annual revenue target with minimum 25% year-on-year revenue growth by 31 December.
· Achieve the approved EBITDA, profitability, and positive operating cash flow targets by year-end (Weight: 12%).
· Maintain annual budget variance within while delivering at least 8% operating cost optimization by 31 December (Weight: 6%).
· Increase company’s market share by at least 10% by 31 December (Weight: 5%).
· Increase recurring revenue by at least 20% through new and existing customers by year-end (Weight: 6%).
· Secure at least 2 strategic commercial partnerships supporting revenue growth, technology capability, or market expansion by 31 December (Weight: 5%).
· Achieve on-time delivery of all strategic projects and customer implementations by year-end (Weight: 7%).
· Maintain service level compliance across operations, technical support, and customer service throughout the performance year (Weight: 4%).
· Launch and commercialize at least three new Fuel Management, Fleet Management, IoT, AI, or Digital solutions by 31 December (Weight: 6%).
· Maintain 100% compliance with statutory, regulatory, policy, and corporate governance requirements with zero material sanctions throughout the year (Weight: 5%).
· Close at least 95% of internal audit findings within agreed timelines by year-end (Weight: 2%).
· Implement enterprise risk management framework and mitigate or close at least 95% of critical enterprise risks by year-end (Weight: 2%).
· Maintain 100% timely submission of executive/Board papers, statutory returns, and management reports in accordance with the governance calendar (Weight: 2%).
· Achieve at least 90% satisfaction rating from the GMD/BOD, key customers, and strategic partners in line with agreed performance targets by year-end (Weight: 8%).
